Partner with other shelters and rescues to alleviate overcrowding and prevent unnecessary euthanasia
Build and sustain a dedicated volunteer network to ensure every animal receives safe shelter, compassionate care, and a pathway to a loving home.

At Petersburg Animal Care and Control, consistent, nutritious food is one of the most important needs for our shelter dogs’ health and happiness. Right now, we’re running low on our regular food supply, and feeding inconsistent donated bags can cause upset stomachs and other health issues.
That’s why we’re excited to launch the PAWS Pantry Club — a simple, tax-deductible monthly giving program designed to keep shelter bellies full and tails wagging!
How it works:
For just $50 a month, you can sponsor a bag of quality dog food that feeds one shelter dog for a full month. Your monthly gift helps provide steady nutrition, which is critical to their wellbeing as they wait for their forever homes.
